E Na Pua is a series I have been working on for a couple of months. I usually am not big on photographing flowers as my subject, but I was inspired by the work of someone on Behance and so decided to see if I could do it in a way that spoke like me, instead of like someone else. I am using these a part of a group show on the garden I will be in next May. My work is rarely what it appears on the surface - it's highly political. So I use the garden as a metaphor every year. In the case of the series, I am photographing fake flowers to speak to the lack of land left on the island. If we keep filling in the land, there will only be fake flowers.
